What you'll do

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Working Student to join our team that's focused on shaping and delivering the future of GenAI capabilities across our SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). As part of our dynamic team, your innovative thinking, automation seeking, collaborative attitude, and eagerness to take on challenges will contribute directly to the user experience and adoption of our services.

Join our international multi-disciplinary AI team, where you will be working closely with Software Developers, Architects, Data Engineers, UX designers and many others. You'll be immersed in an environment that fosters innovation, with plentiful opportunities for personal growth and continuous learning, especially around cloud-native software development and Generative AI.

Your responsibilities are:
•    Embracing a culture of automation by developing innovative solutions for stable and scalable AI-based Cloud services.
•    Collaborating with diverse teams to help streamline and improve our processes on the SAP BTP through backend development of AI applications.
•    Being open and ready to learn new technologies and software development practices as they evolve, especially in the field of generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI-augmented development and tools.
Help us build relevant, reliable, and responsible GenAI-/LLM-based products to generate value for our customers!
 

What you bring

•    Student (f/m/d) at a university or university of applied sciences in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field in Germany, Bachelor’s or Master’s level
•    Good coding skills in TypeScript, Python, Java, or a similar language
•    Experience in source code management (e.g., git)
•    Experience in AI/GenAI (LLMs, RAG, ...) is a plus
•    Enjoy writing code, self-organized, proactive
•    Fluent in English (written and spoken)
•    Strong collaboration skills.
•    A keenness to constantly learn about new topics in the rapidly changing world of software development and AI.
•    Passion for improving processes, user experiences, and enabling automation.

The BTP AI team is part of the T&I board area and part of BTP Innovation, which also hosts a range of cross units for BTP. Our team aims to be on top of the latest advancements in AI and how we apply these to increase the platform value for our customers and partners. It is a multi-disciplinary team of data engineers, software architects and developers that aims to support and deliver AI cases in the context of BTP.
