PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
You will be a member of the newly created ESG Reporting area in the External Reporting & Accounting Technology team (belonging to the Corporate Financial Reporting department).
This area comprises two workstreams:
- Regulatory Standards: responsible for SAP’s corporate external reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements (according to CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy, ISSB, and SEC standards), including engagement with SAP’s auditor.
- Co-Innovation and Implementation of SAP sustainability solutions: (SAP runs SAP) and engaging with multiple stakeholders to drive digital transformation at CFR in sustainability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the implementation of SAP sustainability solutions @SAP.
- Prepare SAP's reporting technological infrastructure for upcoming changes in sustainability reporting such as CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy, ISSB, SEC etc.
- Closely collaborate with Product Development, SAP IT, and Consulting Services.
- Interact and exchange with customers and peers in sustainability reporting and engage in co-innovation.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
- Required 3-5 years of professional experience in corporate accounting (e.g., providing accounting guidance, overseeing preparation and review of financial statements) - experience in Big 4 audit firm is a plus.
- University degree in Business Administration, preferably with a focus in accounting/auditing and other similar education (PhD is a plus).
- Basic knowledge of sustainability reporting regulations such as CSRD/ESRS, SASB, TCFD, ISSB.
- Good English level. Any other language will be of value.
- Technical affinity/interest, agile and digital mindset.
- Skills to identify risk, propose solutions, be innovative and proactive in a dynamic environment, as well as a resilient and strong team player in a virtual and international team.
