What you`ll do:
As Automation Development Specialist you will become a member of our rising EMEA location in Prague and work closely together with our globally acting automation team members from Germany, India & Mexico. Your task will be to support the automation team in developing workflows and scripts that can later on be executed on operating system level and SAP's upcoming cloud platforms. This includes:
- Writing & modifying scripts in Python, Bash (or Powershell)
- Work with Github as our source code management tool
- Become a contributor for CI/CD topics and get familiar with Jenkins pipelines, Groovy code, REST API development
- Learn How SAP LAMA (Landscape Management) works to use it for the execution of your scripts & libraries
- Help the team to automate reoccurring manual operational tasks into script based workflows
- Get familiar with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) to make use of its potential for automation
- Make use of remote APIs offered by IAAS cloud providers like Microsoft Azure
- Deepen & use your scripting knowledge on Linux OS
- Make use of the team’s “Automation Ninja” course learning journey
- Work agile in a motivated global team using Jira & Kanban Methodology
- Good Documentation of your code
What you bring:
Your Skills & Interests are in the following areas:
- Computer skills: Object Oriented Programming & Scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, PowerShell (or readiness to learn)
- Understanding of Source Code Management with Github
- Knowledge about CI/CD concepts and the usage of DevOps tools for automated code testing, e.g. with Jenkins + Groovy, is beneficial
- Experience with Linux OS and provisioning of scripts that run on Linux
- Usage & implementation of APIs in self-written scripts
- Interest to learn about and work with SAP BTP & SAP LAMA
- Ability to work in an international, virtual team and act as team player
- Constant readiness to dive self-motivated into new technologies & automation topics
- Optional: Experience with Docker is a plus.
