PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
 

As part of SAP's Global Procurement Organization (GPO), the global fleet team is responsible for all aspects of our employees' mobility. The fleet comprises 29,000 vehicles worldwide, and only zero-emission vehicles will be procured from as early as 2025. 

The team drives strategic, future-oriented topics and projects, defines their global implementation. In doing so, we work closely with international and cross-functional stakeholders.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sustainability Procurement Associate/Specialist to join our team. The Sustainability Procurement Associate/Specialist will provide support in implementing sustainable sourcing initiatives, conducting research, and assisting in data analysis to drive continuous improvement across our supply chain. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional development and growth in the field of sustainability procurement.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

•    Assist in the development and implementation of sustainability strategies and initiatives for procurement, under the guidance of senior team members.
•    Conduct research on sustainable procurement practices, including environmental, social, and ethical considerations, to support decision-making and drive innovation.
•    Support supplier sustainability assessments and audits, collecting data and assisting in evaluating supplier performance against sustainability criteria and standards.
•    Assist in maintaining and updating sustainability-related data and documentation, including supplier sustainability profiles, certifications, and compliance records.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability criteria into procurement and car fleet processes, supplier selection criteria, and contract negotiations.
•    Support supplier engagement activities, including meetings, workshops, and training, to communicate sustainability expectations and foster partnerships based on shared values.
•    Support the monitoring and tracking of key sustainability metrics related to car fleet, assisting in data analysis to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
•    Assist in the preparation of sustainability reports, presentations, and communications to share progress and achievements internally and externally.


WHAT YOU BRING

•    Bachelor's degree in Sustainability or business administration, or equivalent work experience
•    1-3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, sustainability, or a related field. Internship or coursework experience in sustainability procurement is a plus.
•    Passion for sustainability, mobility and a genuine interest in driving positive environmental and social impact.
•    Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, interpret, and analyze data to support decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
•    Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
•    Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with sustainability reporting platforms or software preferred.
