PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

As part of SAP’s Global Procurement Organization (GPO) the global car fleet team is fully responsible for all fleet aspects in Germany with a fleet size of 17.000 cars. There are 9.500 further cars in 20 SAP entities which are managed from a GPO perspective. The international fleet activities will be further centralized and standardized moving forward. 
The Car Fleet team is strongly aligned with local fleet policy owners and cross functional stakeholders.
More than this the focus of the team is changing towards more environmentally friendly mobility offerings, such as expanding the e-car portfolio and introducing alternatives to the company car. In addition to that in an international team reporting (e.g. accounting relevant IFRS16) and communication is getting more and more important.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Supporting and shaping proactively Global Car Fleet’s strategies (e.g., being an innovative fleet, process standardization and automation, sustainability, supplier strategy etc.) in alignment with global/local management.
  • Preparing business cases in alignment with global/local stakeholders and Car Fleet department.
  • Being responsible for tenders (RFIs, RFPs from End-to-End perspective, preparing content in alignment with global/local stakeholders and Car Fleet department, running the RFP incl. negotiations with suppliers.
  • Reviewing contracts from a commercial perspective in line with GPO policy and GTC’s, but also in alignment with relevant stakeholders (e.g., data protection, legal, tax, etc.).
  • Responsible for checking whether contracts are being respected and renegotiating if necessary.
  • Responsible for preparing reports for different stakeholders, accounting reasons and management.
  • Checking and approving invoices from suppliers.
  • Being the point of contact for our suppliers and internal stakeholders in contractual matters.
  • Being the back-up for the project lead of "Flexible Mobility" (SAP’s mobility budget) program in Germany.
  • Internal communication/support via SAP One, SAP Workzone and the ticket system.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS
 

  • Fluent in English (written & verbal), as well as strong communication skills.
  • German language skills would be an advantage.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in procurement area.
  • Knowledge of the automotive sector and car leasing/purchasing processes.
  • Proven experience in supplier negotiations and management.
  • Experience in e-mobility area and with SAP Ariba, Concur and ISP is a plus.
  • Profound knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Self-managed working style with high customer (employee) orientation.
  • A team player with the ability to work well with other team members (including different locations/countries).
