PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
 

The Global Procurement Organization (GPO) is in the midst of ongoing transformation that will change the dynamic of how GPO engages with its stakeholders. This transformation is necessary to keep up with the fast-changing environment, develop into a digital organization, meet the Board’s ambitious growth plans, and support SAP’s strategy.

ABOUT THE GPO CATEGORY
 

The Real Estate & Facilities Category Team is part of the Global Procurement Organization and provides excellent business partnering to our internal and external stakeholders. The category is responsible for the definition and execution of global sourcing strategies in close collaboration with business owners, corporate legal, finance and controlling, as well as for sourcing and supplier management across the globe. The Category Real Estate & Facilities includes categories such as FM Services, Construction Engineering, Real Estate, Rent and Lease and Utility Procurement.
 

The Category Utility encompasses the global procurement responsibility focusing on the energy commodities, renewable energies and certificates and supports projects of the line of business on SAP’s transformation to become CO2 neutral.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

• Highly motivated colleague with solid stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Understand and determine business requirements.
• Experience in strategic procurement within a multinational business, with a strong background in electricity, natural gas, renewable energies and EAC procurement.
• Work in a virtual team for the successful development and execution of related sourcing and supplier strategies on a global scale.
• Perform market analyses and explore new market approaches with a focus on Germany, USA and India.
• Support value / performance improvements in collaboration with related Line of Business.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• University degree preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Strong background in Utility Procurement.  
• Leading of end-to-end procurement procedures and sourcing strategies.
• Open-minded and willing to drive change.
• Fluent English (spoken, written); preferably also German. 
• Solid stakeholder management and negotiation skills, strategic thinking.
• Preferably knowledge/ skills in Project Management and the ability to think outside the box.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years’ experience in strategic procurement within indirect or direct procurement environments, ideally in a multinational environment.
• Proven track record of business relationship with leading energy suppliers beneficial.
