SAP Concur, a market leader in integrated corporate travel, expense, and invoice management, is reimagining the business travel experience with a next-generation, AI-enabled Online Booking Tool. A strategic pillar of this offering is the Payments services:  enabling compliant spend by connecting trip planning, payment, and reconciliation in a single end-to-end flow. By integrating virtual credit capabilities, we help travel managers gain real-time spend control while reducing manual effort and policy violations. 

We are building a new team in Prague for Concur Travel Payments and are looking for a Software Engineering Manager. In this role, you will lead a team to deliver SaaS services, with strong use of AI technologies in product features and engineering productivity tools. You will partner closely with Product Management and other stakeholders to deliver secure, compliant, and reliable services that solve real customer problems. 

What you’ll build

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of engineers (hiring, feedback, career development, team health). 
• Own delivery of Travel Payments services end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, rollout, and operations. 
• Partner with Product Management to shape roadmap, break down work, and deliver customer outcomes. 
• Build secure, compliant, and resilient services; drive reliability through observability and incident practices. 
• Use AI/LLM capabilities responsibly in product features and engineering productivity (e.g., automation, analysis, developer tooling). 
• Collaborate across time zones with engineering teams and stakeholders to align architecture and execution. 

What you bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent practical experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
• 10+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years as an engineering people manager leading delivery for a product/team. 
• A pragmatic, growth mindset—comfortable learning new technologies and adapting to changing requirements. 
• Proven ownership of end-to-end solutions—from architecture and design through delivery and reliable operations. 
• Working knowledge of AI/LLM technologies and modern developer tooling; experience applying them in production and/or engineering workflows 
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills 
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and building services in regulated/compliance-aware environments; experience with open-source frameworks and libraries. 
• DevOps mindset with experience in continuous delivery, on-call/incident practices, and observability (metrics, logs, tracing). 
• Hands-on experience with one or more modern languages such as Java, Go, Kotlin, TypeScript, or similar; Experience with container platforms and cloud infrastructure such as Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, and AWS services (e.g., EC2, EKS, AMIs, DynamoDB).
