Role Description

You are invited to join us in contributing towards the transformation of applications and services in the modern SAP BTP Cloud environment powered by Cloud Foundry. By doing so, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the Corporate Functions & Analytics cloud platform. We are seeking an experienced full stack developer with a solid background in SAP BTP, with a focus on Cloud Foundry stack.

• Application Development: Take charge of developing and enhancing applications on SAP BTP Cloud Foundry. Assess the possibility of replacing applications with standard services provided by SAP CPIT or phasing out services where other efficient alternatives are available. This involves analyzing current applications, identifying dependencies, and creating comprehensive development plans to ensure efficient and effective solutions.
• Development and Testing: Design, develop, and test new features and functionalities for applications, adhering to SAP secure software development standards. Collaborate with the architects and fellow team members to ensure high-quality code, following best practices and utilizing standard CI/CD tools for continuous integration and deployment.
• Integration: Integrate applications with other systems and services within the SAP BTP Cloud Foundry environment and On-Premise systems. Ensure smooth data flow and interoperability between different components.
• Custom Tools Development: Create and maintain custom tools and applications for SAP Data Sphere, enhancing its functionality and user experience. This may include developing automation tools and services bridging the functionality gaps in different environments.
• Troubleshooting and Bug Fixing: Identify and resolve issues related to application functionality, including debugging and fixing bugs in the applications and custom tools. Collaborate with the support team to provide timely resolutions to any technical issues that arise.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain technical documentation related to applications and custom tools, including architectural diagrams and code documentation. Share knowledge and best practices with the team to foster continuous learning and improvement.

What you will bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a focus on SAP BTP platform.
• Strong knowledge of SAP BTP Cloud Foundry and SAP HANA.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• In-depth knowledge of DevOps tools and processes. Experience with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins. Knowledge of SAP Hyperspace, Honeycomb and Piper is an asset.
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as SAPUI5 or React, and back-end frameworks such as Node.js and Spring Boot.
• Experience in troubleshooting and fine-tuning SAP HANA databases, including performance optimization, memory management, and query optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in both application and database layers.
