Global Risk & Assurance Services: Senior Audit Specialist

What you'll do

 

  • Work with the Global Risk & Assurance audit framework through the various stages of an audit or advisory services assignment.
  • Communicate and collaborate with team members and colleagues across all levels of the SAP organization.
  • Support the development of audit work programs that evaluate the risk and control environment.
  • Perform tests and evaluations to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of processes and systems, as well as compliance with SAP processes, policies, procedures, and external laws/regulations.
  • Document audit results, including findings that represent significant gaps in the risk and control environment.
  • Conduct and/or support management interviews and dealings with our audit's customers.
  • Provide thought leadership that creates business insight and impact through the work program and results.
  • Provide advice and support to the audit team in specific areas as needed.
  • Provide regular updates on assignment outcomes and perform ongoing monitoring of key risks and findings within assigned responsibilities.
  • Develop and maintain a fundamental network to collaborate effectively within GR&AS and build collaborative work relationships with similar functions across SAP.
  • Work independently and collaboratively, able to take sole responsibility for driving end-to-end projects.

 

What you bring

 

  • The candidate will have 5-7+ years of functional experience in auditing, risk management, SOX internal controls, or similar relevant roles.
  • General knowledge of the International Standards for the professional practice of Internal Auditing.
  • Accounting knowledge (IFRS/GAAP/IIA Standards, IDW PS-340).
  • Expertise with Risk, Controls is a plus.
  • General knowledge of the COSO and/or COBIT models is a plus.
  • General knowledge of the SOX Act is a plus.
  • Experience working in a global environment and engaging with leaders and process owners internationally is a plus.
  • Knowledge in MS Office and SAP products is preferred.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
