PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
 

The Global Procurement Organization (GPO) is in the midst of ongoing transformation that will change the dynamic of how GPO engages with its stakeholders. This transformation is necessary to keep up with the fast-changing environment, develop into a digital organization, meet the Board’s ambitious growth plans, and support SAP’s strategy.
 

ABOUT THE GPO CATEGORY
 

The IT Solutions Category Team is part of the Global Procurement Organization and provides excellent business partnering to our internal and external stakeholders. The category is responsible for the definition and execution of global sourcing strategies in close collaboration with business owners, corporate legal, finance and controlling, as well as for sourcing and supplier management across the globe. The IT Solutions Category includes categories such as Communication & Collaboration, Client Services & Equipment, Software, Security, Network connectivity and Network Infrastructure.
 

Software category encompasses the global procurement responsibility concentrating on End User Software and Server Software, on prem as well as Cloud Software for internal usage. To support SAP’s pursuit to enable employees with all the software which is needed for their work and its efforts to define the future software eco-system, it is one of the most critical areas to secure SAP’s growth. 

For our Software Category Team, we are searching for new junior member in the Procurement field.


EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
 

  • Act as consultant, coordinator of purchase and trusted business value enabler for key stakeholders.
  • Manage internal team requests and support senior team members.
  • Understand and determine business requirements, create a strategies for your cases and execute them within negotiations.
  • Implement, execute, further develop and maintain strategic sub-category plan.
  • Seek continuously opportunities for improvements, innovations, and savings.
  • Focus on business needs / values and relationship management of internal and external key stakeholders according to stakeholder matrix.


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES 
 

  • University degree preferably in Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Strong interest in negotiations. Background within Procurement is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Software environment e.g. Client/Server software or Cloud / SaaS related areas with an understanding of common license metrics is a plus.
  • Open-minded and willing to drive and embrace change.
  • Fluent English (spoken, written), German is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, strong focus on teamwork, can-do attitude.
     

WORK EXPERIENCE
 

  • Experience in procurement within a multinational business or education in procurement.
  • Experience in software procurement is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate, crystalize business requirements, and translate them into actionable procurement activities.
  • Ability to establish clear priorities and effectively manage multiple demands.
