Purpose and Objectives
The Global Procurement Organization (GPO) is in the midst of a transformation that will change the dynamic of how GPO engages with its stakeholders. This transformation is necessary to keep up with the fast-changing environment, develop into a digital organization, meet the Board’s ambitious growth plans, and support SAP’s strategy.
The Sourcing Excellence Champions (SEC) team is responsible for sourcing, negotiation, contracting activities, and supplier management across the globe. The SEC Team is supporting several categories like Professional Services, Marketing, Cloud Solutions, TIH, and IT Infrastructure Services. The services include, but are not limited to, HR-related services, consulting services, development, marketing events, advertisement, market research, and branding.
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist with a background in global procurement and/or services procurement to join our team in the DACH region. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in global procurement and building relationships with key stakeholders. Furthermore, the candidate should work in close collaboration with regional team members from APJ, DACH, EMEA, and the US region.
Expectations and Tasks

- Develop, support, and implement programs/strategies to meet GPO saving goals and targets.
- Demonstrate excellent capacity for evaluating suppliers, sourcing, analyzing proposals, and negotiation.
- Work independently within a given area of responsibility and in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Execute complex sourcing projects on a local, regional, and global level. Prepare the sourcing and contracting based on facts and figures as a result of an analysis.
- Drive procurement projects with a cross-regional or cross-category focus.
- Ensure compliance with SAP’s policies and guidelines and work closely with SAP legal, audit, compliance, and data protection teams.
- Accelerate strategy execution and conduct market analysis and track market trends.
- Know and understand the SAP corporate strategy and the strategy of his/her area of procurement.
- Enhance purchasing-related processes to best-in-class procurement processes.
Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies

- University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, analytical skills, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Collaboration and communication skills, team player, ability to work in virtual international teams.
- Project management skills and MS-Office knowledge (Word, PPT, and Excel).
- SAP system knowledge (including ARIBA, Fieldglass) is a plus.
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
Work Experience

- 5+ years of relevant experience in purchasing or tactical procurement within indirect procurement environments, ideally in a multinational environment (e.g. advanced degree in purchasing or related field).

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the hourly base salary rate range applicable for the posted role. The targeted range for this position is 804400 - 1343300(CZK) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidates will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process.
