What you’ll do

• Lead and mentor designers at varied levels of experience, helping them grow, succeed, and understand what “good” really looks like. You may design yourself, but your priority is enabling your team and leveling up their craft.
• Partner with other experience leaders to drive user‑experience goals and elevate UX best practices across Concur.
• Work closely with product and engineering peers to understand, break down, and communicate to your teams the right problems to solve.
• Advocate for our users and champion user‑centered thinking, usability, and accessibility across the organization.

What you’ll bring

• 7+ years’ experience as a UX software design leader, including managing other designers.
• Demonstrated interaction‑design skills and a deep understanding of user‑centered design. You think in flows and systems, not just screens.
• Strong problem‑solving instincts—you can take a problem and direction and generate multiple paths forward.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with the ability to clearly and persuasively explain design choices and trade‑offs.
• Hands‑on experience across the full design cycle, from research and concepting through delivery and iteration. You know what it means to make last‑minute tradeoffs and chase down bugs to get products out the door.
• A natural ability to rally teams—whether you’re winning over skeptical stakeholders or giving designers a boost.
• A willingness to jump in at every level paired with the judgment to delegate and lead from a healthy distance.
• Confidence using data to inform decisions and measure success.
