The Global Business Services at Human Resources is an organization with 800+ employees, delivering end-to-end HR operations to all SAP locations worldwide from two shared services centers in Prague and Manila.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

The senior consultant role focuses on consultation within the team, colleagues from other departments, HR Business Partners and other consultants. Has a very good knowledge of cross country processes as well can demonstrate a sound knowledge of cross data management topics. Often does have a team coordinator role to supervise and coach the team, to ensure consistent and efficient delivery of the operational services, to be single point of contact for the team members concerning operational issues and a first escalation point for operational issues and questions. May have also a role of a Power User for some of the systems or additional responsibilities as e.g. training coordinator. This role assists the Service Delivery Manager on MMT level to oversee daily operational issues. Also, besides support of global/regional projects often leads projects. Actively participates on the HR Data council work, is able to lead the sessions if needed.

Proficiency in Data Management

  • Supports accurate, consistent and timely data maintenance in accordance to SLA given for the specific process step and helps coordinating the maintenance activities within the team. Provides consultations and works with process owners and other process stakeholders to ensure data compliance and accuracy standards are met when the data is delivered to Data Management teams. Supports usage of agreed channels, workflows and systems to fulfill daily data management tasks. Monitors workflow efficiency and escalates gaps while searching for potential solutions within agreed scope. Ensures compliance of data with communicated rules and governance and keeps track on on-going changes in rules. Addresses potential gaps in existing rules, need for change due to changes in business environment and works with HR Data Council in case to implement new data elements, rules, workflows. Coordinates knowledge sharing within own team and across teams. Pro-actively monitors quality and accuracy of own deliverables as well as the same on team level and across pillars.  Drives implementation of new quality checks and standards. Follows data security and protection principles.

Ensures appropriate HR Process Execution

  • Execution of HR processes & transaction according to SLA (Service Level Agreements). Keeping updated all documents (e.g. handbooks) necessary for the execution of HR processes. Ensure data integrity for key deadlines. Ensure information flow with all departments and functions in SAP, which are involved in HR processes execution. Use HR tools and systems to appropriately document and complete assigned work. Work with both internal and external contacts to assist in process completion or escalation, such as Legal, IT, and vendors. Seeks feedback from customers to identify opportunities for improvement. Provide mentoring and supervise training for all team members across hubs, ensure work is performed according to defined processes and within SLAs, and escalate if require appropriate back-up resources for team. Makes decisions (relevant to responsibilities). Translates creative ideas into plans and action. 

Build strong partner relationship

  • Building relationships with other HR Service Center teams, CoEs, HRBPs, and other departments to facilitate the support for processes that the team supports. Becoming a "partner" and displaying the benefit of a combined working relationship.  Working with vendors and building a relationship with them to ensure we have identified the most efficient and effective process with that vendor.
  • Work with other team members to share knowledge on topics to ensure cross-training and scalability for all process work. Work with IT & relevant stakeholders to ensure that requirements are met. Keeps up to date with changes in the organization. Supports Service Delivery Manager.

Drive for Improvement & Innovation

  • Project management responsibilities to support the migration of new processes and technology or process enhancements. Participates in global HR projects or migrations and leads projects within the region and drives them towards completion. Works with process owners to identify the project scope, owning the project plan, coordinating with IT on technology updates, testing, training, communication to all impacted HR Service Center teams and on-going support. Understands scope of process work and the SLAs for each service and is responsible for the tracking of SLAs for monthly reporting, ensures all process maps are current, accurate and complete. Takes on responsibility for producing high quality solutions. Manages IT service change requests. Generates new ideas and breakthrough initiatives. Identifies process enhancement opportunities or gaps, and drives the implementation of process changes to ensure processes are efficient. Is often expert in multiple areas of service delivery work.   

Experience & Language Requirements

  • 3-6 years relevant professional experience
  • Fluent English and minimum B2 German level

Education

  • University degree or comparable experience

Professional Training & Certification

  • HR certificate and technical skills certificate (MS Office)
