API Gateway is a new Kubernetes native product in the SAP Cloud offering, which will secure, monetize, and create a consistent API experience for SAP customers and partners.  


API Gateway will be built as a distributed, cloud-native, container-based solution, using microservices written in Go.   

The Gateway is planned to be delivered to all major Cloud Infrastructure providers  


We are looking for an eager, highly capable and independent software developer who is interested in taking their first steps into the world of software development. 

Job Description 

  • Developing and operating the SAP API Gateway from scratch using Go, Docker, Kubernetes and other cloud technologies.  

  • Design, develop, extend, review, integrate and operate cloud service.  

  • Work at scale on a growing product.  

  • Work in an Agile team applying Scrum, Agile development practices, and DevOps.  

  • Be a team player, contribute to team goals by showing personal flexibility and ability to work on a range of topics.  


Job Requirements  

  • A B.Sc. student in Computer Science or Software engineering, with an 80+ average from a known institution – mandatory. 

  • 3 semesters left – mandatory. 

  • Fast leaner - mandatory 

  • Knowledge in Go (Golang programing language) - An advantage 

  • Knowledge in DevOps - Kubernetes, Dockers, Containers, CICD processes (Continuous integration) - An advantage 

  • Results driven with excellent execution and communication skills 

  • Eager to learn new technologies in a short time 

  • Self-managed 

  • Fluent English
