Global Architecture Advisory
Purpose & Objectives
The Customer Success (CS) global Architecture Advisory (AA) team sets the Architecture Advisory strategy and the execution programs for evolving AA organizations at the Global, Regional, and MU levels within the Customer Advisory (CA) organization.
The global AA team oversees the designing and rolling out of architectural practices at SAP to drive the next generation of e2e portfolio solution selling and support customers holistically across their customer value journey. The Global Architecture Advisor, Expert will drive AA initiatives working alongside other members of the global AA team and main stakeholders in the Regional AA organization, as well as leaders within SAP Sales, Product Development, and Services, to design and lead the following transformational architectural initiatives:
- Developing business and enterprise architecture methodology and tools
- Creating standardized artifacts and deliverables using relevant tools, like LeanIX
- Scaling the AA Practice using latest innovations, such as AI, digital, etc.
- Driving the Global AA Hub to support community development
- Leveraging and networking within the SAP Business Transformation solution area
- Leading global AA reporting and performance management
- Developing and coordinating global AA trainings and enablement
- Designing the AA career path and giving global guidance for career development
- Leading the AA recognition and reward programs
Expectations & Tasks
The Global Architecture Advisor, Expert will be responsible for the following main tasks and deliverables:
- Overseeing Architecture Advisory services and practices within the CA operational models to identify areas of improvements and designing the required transformational initiatives
- Leading content development to support the AA Practice & AA Playbook
- Designing and leading defined transformational initiatives, according to the SAP global strategy, as well as being accountable for transformation and business results
- Defining toolchain (especially on LeanIX) best practices and monitoring adoption by the AA regional teams
- In collaboration with the leadership team, owning the alignment of the program’s objectives and execution with all regional and MU leaders to interact with our customers
- Designing and driving enablement planning and field support
- Overseeing digital and AI initiatives to scale the AA practice and operational model
Recommended Experiences and Certifications
- 8+ years working for a Consulting firm or from leading software vendor; enterprise architecture or change agent experience highly recommended
- Experience in large-scale solution Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy or software development/delivery highly recommended
- Experience leading teams and large-scale operations
- Strategic thinking, data-oriented mindset
- Previous experiences in international roles that exposed the candidate to assess and identify areas of improvements at a global scale, leading to the design and execution of transformational programs, highly recommended
- Architect Certifications, such as TOGAF and IEA-10/SAP EAF Framework certified, highly recommended
- LeanIX tool experience or certification, highly recommended
General and SAP-specific Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of SAP solutions, customer facing methodology and experience, highly recommended
- Knowledge of Software Sales methodology
- Account Planning/Management & Business Development and Execution experiences
- Cloud Selling Mindset
- Business Acumen
- Relationship team builder Communication/storytelling skills
- Architectural Skills
- Understanding of IT architectures
- Assessing infrastructure and designing the target state in sales motions

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 194100 - 330000(USD)SAP North America Benefits.
USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
