About the Team

Join our dynamic team as we drive the development and enhancement of SAP Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations, revolutionizing cloud offerings for the Public Sector and regulated industries. The newly formed Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit, a key part of SAP Product Engineering, oversees SAP's Sovereign Cloud portfolio. Our mission is to harmonize, scale, and enhance transparency across all areas of cloud operations, working closely with stakeholders to ensure successful product and service delivery.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (f/m/d) to join our Technology & Engineering Products Group within the Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations organization.

Role Overview

As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and driving the successful development, delivery, and integration of SAP's DevOps initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

• Project Management Development: Overseeing project lifecycles from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
• Agile Execution: Managing Agile processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and cross-functional coordination.
• Process Optimization: Identifying and implementing process improvements for efficiency and scalability.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Working closely with DevOps engineers, product managers, security experts, and leadership to align on objectives and remove roadblocks.
• Risk & Issue Management: Identifying potential risks and proactively mitigating project challenges.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Lead project execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, security, and cloud operations.
• Manage schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
• Define and optimize Agile workflows, facilitating continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
• Configure and manage Jira workflows, automation, and reporting to support Agile processes.
• Provide status updates and reporting to senior leadership, ensuring visibility and transparency.
• Contribute to long-term strategic planning for DevOps projects and infrastructure improvements.

Qualifications

Candidates should meet the following requirements:

• 3+ years of project management experience in a technology or DevOps environment.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience leading Agile teams.
• Strong expertise in Jira configuration, including workflow automation, dashboards, and reporting.
• Experience managing cloud-based projects, with knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience working with DevOps teams and understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud security best practices.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive collaboration across teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, with a proactive approach to project management.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMP certification is a plus.
• Experience with SAP Product Offerings (S/4HANA, IBP, or SAP BTP) is advantageous.
• Experience with Confluence, Trello, Notion, or other project management tools.

Work Experience

• 3+ years of professional experience in project management, Agile coaching, or program management.
• 2+ years of experience working with DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure teams.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 133700 - 227500(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
