SAP recently decided to combine and harmonize all SAP Sovereign Cloud offerings, establishing an end-to-end process for the Public Sector and regulated industries. The newly created Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit is part of SAP Product Engineering with responsibility across the relevant Sovereign Cloud portfolio of SAP. Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations is collaborating closely with all Board areas to establish a harmonized, scalable, and consistent offering with transparent and standardized deliverables. 

 

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager within the Security Engineering group in the Technology & Engineering unit of the newly formed Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations team as part of the Customer Services & Delivery board area.

In this role you will support multiple development teams and would be responsible for promoting and supporting agile methodologies by helping teams understand the theory, practices, and values. You will remove impediments at the team-level and in scaled agile frameworks to shield the team from interferences. You will buffer the team against any distracting influences. You will coordinate and collaborate with other teams with Sovereign Cloud, you will ensure success and guide the teams in their backlog execution against security requirements of our target market countries.

You will facilitate all agile events and ensure the respective agile methodology is applied correctly. You will coach teams and other stakeholders in Agile methodologies. You will support the teams' agile journey through continuous improvement and self-organization. You will be responsible for the visibility of team commitments and progress through use of metrics and creation of action plans. You will promote collaboration and interactions within and across teams.

 

 

 

WHAT YOU BRING

Due to the classified nature of our work, your willingness is required to subject yourself to a governmental security clearance process and thus have an EU, NATO or FIVE EYES country member nationality. Besides that, you may bring:

  • Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience 
  • Ability to manage through ambiguities while being innovative and collaborative
  • Persistence, self-motivation, and willingness to work under pressure 
  • Strong communication in English incl. profound presentation and facilitation skills 
  • Willingness to learn new topics quickly and passion for technology 
  • Ability to think strategically, delivering services to meet stakeholders’ demands on a timely basis
  • Proven ability to lead successful projects and work cross-organizationally
  • Cultural awareness, intercultural competencies, and ability to influence without formal authority
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with key stakeholders
  • Persistence, self-motivation, and willingness to work under pressure
  • Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to speak and write in English fluently

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of experience with a successful track record of leading geographically dispersed engineering projects and cross-functional program teams 
  • Proven track record in end-to-end implementation initiatives
  • Proven track record in continuous improvement
  • Background in Software Development Lifecycle
  • Experience with leading larger SAP projects / programs 
  • Experience in an agile environment is preferred
  • Experience in people management is a plus
  • Knowledge of SAP on-premise and cloud solutions will be a plus 
  • Knowledge of Cloud computing and cloud infrastructure fundamentals will be a plus

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 117300 - 246400(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
