We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior SAP HANA DBA with robust DBA and BASIS expertise to join the Database Cloud Operations team at SAP SuccessFactors. Our team is at the forefront of constructing and operating next-generation cloud infrastructure, providing state of the art DbaaS and enabling the company’s transition to public cloud services. What You’ll Do:

• Support Cloud Operations:
• Support automation efforts: Assist in automation and build/configuration management to streamline our operations.
• Develop and maintain a monitoring system: Oversee our build landscape, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Drive improvements: Suggest and implement enhancements in how the team works, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with teammates: Work closely with peers to refine your ideas and build consensus, ensuring a cohesive and innovative approach.
• Identify and address security and performance issues: Proactively manage and resolve any security or performance concerns.
• Maintain quality and customer satisfaction: Prioritize quality in all deliverables and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

What You Bring:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field that provides a strong foundation in software development.
• Collaboration and Independence: Ability to effectively collaborate with others, as well as working independently.
• Passion for Learning: Eagerness to explore new technologies and programming skills.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong technical problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging capabilities.
• Self-starter and an initiator. Drives outcomes

Technical Skills:

• DevOps Tools: Expertise with DevOps tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Python, and Shell.
• SAP HANA Expertise: Proficient knowledge and DBA experience in SAP HANA or similar technologies such as Oracle on Linux.
• Multi-Environment Experience: Experience working in large landscapes where multiple database flavors are running.
• SQL and Databases: Solid understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
• Cloud Technologies: Experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Capacity Management: Skilled in monitoring and optimizing resource allocation.
• Performance Tuning: Proficient in identifying and resolving system performance issues.
• DB Lifecycle Management: Hands-on experience in DB lifecycle management topics and pacemaker cluster.
• Leadership: Capable of owning, leading, and coordinating operational tasks, customer escalations, and process improvements.

Preferred Skills:

• SAP BASIS Administrator Experience: An added advantage.
• SAP ECC/S4HANA Experience: Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments is a plus.
• Cloud Migration Experience: Experience converting on-prem SAP ECC systems to ECS on S/4HANA.
• SAP Solution Manager/FRUN: Proven experience with SAP Solution Manager and/or SAP FRUN environments and/or SAP LAMA

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 109100 - 185500(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
