PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Are you passionate about ensuring top-notch software quality through automation? Do you excel at collaborating with stakeholders and providing critical feedback on software features? We are seeking a talented Quality Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team.

As a Quality Automation Engineer - Automated Testing Specialist in SAP Datasphere Business Layer team, you will lead the development of automated tests, engage in strategic discussions on testing with Product Management (PM) and stakeholders, and provide essential sign-offs on feature releases.

You will play an integral role in shaping the future of our product for multiple industries and customers.

Desired Skills:

• Automated Test Development: Expertise in developing robust and scalable automated tests for various software applications. Proficiency in automation tools and frameworks. TestCafé framework knowledge is a plus.
• Collaborative Strategy Development: Ability to work closely with PMs and stakeholders to define and discuss comprehensive test strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and requirements.
• Feature Sign-Off:
  • Strong analytical skills to thoroughly assess feature completeness and quality.
  • Provide reliable sign-offs on feature releases by ensuring that all acceptance criteria have been met.
  • Attention to detail in reviewing features against predefined acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations and overall product goals.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards throughout the development lifecycle.
• Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify, investigate, and log software defects and issues efficiently considering their priority.
• Continuous Improvement: A proactive approach to continually improving testing processes and methodologies to enhance software quality and team productivity.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey technical information and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of JavaScript. Familiarity with version control systems like Git and continuous integration tools like Jenkins.
• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments, with the capability to adapt to changing project needs and priorities.

• Automated Testing with TestCafé Framework: Acquire hands-on experience in creating and executing automated tests using the TestCafé framework, enhancing your technical skills in test automation.
• Code Development in JavaScript: Improve your proficiency in JavaScript, learning to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code best practices.
• Desirable Experience: Previous knowledge in any of these areas is a significant plus, and you will have the opportunity to build on this experience through continuous learning and practical application.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor, Master degree or equivalent education in the field of computer science and/or related areas
• CTFL certification is a plus
