Purpose and Objective

 

Changing business requirements often result in the realignment of a company’s IT structure. To quickly align with these requirements, customer needs to create harmonize, consolidate, convert systems or create leaner development environments.  

 

Job Expectations and Tasks

 

As part of the BTP Delivery at Scale team you will participate in consulting projects for SAP customers worldwide. BTP Delivery at Scale is part of the Adoption Services Center and is in charge of delivering services in implementation, upgrades or improvement projects.

 

As a Developer your main tasks will be:

  • Focus on design, coding, testing, quality assurance of complex product features in a development team
  • Drive initiatives & topics to resolution in a high level of quality, speed, reliability and efficiency.
  • Work closely together with others and share expertise to ensure product success
  • Constantly improve own work methods to gain state-of-the-art agile software engineering Skills
  • Enhance skills beyond own core functional focus and work on other tasks for the Benefit of the team
  • Modeling, design, implementation and tests based on SAP’s programming model
  • Ensure high quality (create and execute test cases, reviews of specifications, design reviews, code reviews).
  • Mentoring other colleagues in technical issue and helping on technical training to leverage team skills.
  • Support the business and Market Unit with estimations, clarifications and presentations.

 

Education and Qualification / Skills and Competencies

 

Technical Expertise:

  • Proficient in software development and programming with ABAP Objects (ABAP OO).
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and consuming Gateway Services, Proxy Services, and OData services.
  • Proven experience with integration tools, specifically SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) within the Business Technology Platform (BTP) Integration Suite.
  • GRC – DRC Projects: Proven experience working on Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) projects, with a focus on Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC).
  • SAP Fiori: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Fiori Templates and Fiori UI5 (Nice to have).
    • Adobe Forms: Proficient in working with Adobe Forms for creating and managing digital forms.
    • Certification: Possession of relevant certifications to support the required technical skills and experience or to get it at SAP.
    • SAP BTP ABAP RAP Development: Hands-on experience in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) with a focus on ABAP RESTful Application Programming (RAP) development.

 

Language Skills:

  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Spanish to communicate effectively in a multilingual work environment.

 

Development Knowledge & Best Practices:

  • Strong understanding of development processes, product standards, and tools.
  • Deep knowledge of software development best practices, including:
    • Clean Code principles.
    • SOLID design principles.
    • Object-Oriented (OO) design patterns.

  • Excellent comprehension skills and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and domains.
  • Constructive and open communication style, fostering collaborative environments.
  • Strong team spirit, with experience working in both virtual and co-located teams.
  • Result-oriented with a keen focus on quality.
  • Eagerness to stay updated with the latest development trends and technologies in the SAP ecosystem and broader IT industry.
  • Passionate about development-related topics in the IT industry.
  • Proven ability to serve as a technical lead in development projects, guiding teams and ensuring successful project completion.
  • Have good knowledge on MM or SD/FI processes and minimum experience is must.
  • Experience in driving projects to meet objectives while maintaining a high standard of quality.
  • Ability to mentor team members and promote best practices across the development lifecycle.
