About the team: 

The Chief Operating and Transformation Officer unit is responsible for the Next-Generation Partnering Strategy (NGP) ensuring that SAP teams are equipped to transform SAP’s ecosystem in support of the evolving needs of SAP customers and Partners. SAP Next-Generation Partnering is a multi-year transformative movement in which SAP will roll-out initiatives, programs, resources and magnify our focus on the ecosystem to deliver customer success and value driven outcomes. 

This is a great opportunity to work as part of a new, dynamic team. You will be connecting and collaborating with global and regional teams within PES and the wider SAP network developing excellent skills working as part of a multi-cultural environment. 

 

The Chief Operating Officer Organization has multiple internship opportunities as outlined in the following list. Although ideal candidates would primarily work in one area, they will also be expected to cross topics when required.

 

Position Title: SAP PES iXp Intern – Chief Operating Officer Organization

Location: Galway or Dublin (working in a Flex Work model, in office & virtually)

Expected start date: June/September 2023

Duration: 9 - 12 months internship

 

In this role, you’ll work primarily in one of the following teams:  

 

(1) People & Performance Team

  • Design, develop, and maintain assets, presentations, and marketing materials to communicate to internal and external audiences
  • Reporting & analyzing SAP´s global partner business e.g. sales and contract renewals
  • Forecasting & budgeting SAP´s indirect cloud business
  • Ad hoc requests to support partner teams in the region or in a Line of Business
  • Support the team with survey design and analysis
  • Reporting on existing SAP Learning programs (Black Belt) to support insights
  • Promote & engage in Community creation efforts  
  • Support the development of a Global People Strategy and topics within
  • Admin Workshops (scheduling, invites, registrations, follow up on workshops)
  • Support research into internal courses and content for our PES teams as part of Learning & Development and Early Talent content for PES Teams
  • Maintenance & regular update of documents / SharePoint and continued improvement of system tools
  • Reporting & analyzing SAP´s global partner business e.g. sales and contract renewals
  • Forecasting & budgeting SAP´s indirect cloud business
  • Ad hoc requests to support partner teams in the region or in a Line of Business
  • Creation of engaging promotional material for the programs we create

 

Skills and Competencies:  

  • Video & image editing – storyboard, design and familiarity with video editing tools
  • Experience with reporting tools like SAP Analytics Cloud, Tableau or PowerBI
  • Knowledge of programming languages e.g., visual basic

 

(2) Chief Operating Officer Organization Office

  • Shadow the COO Office Exec Assistant in managing the COO’s daily calendar, travel and expenses
  • Provide support on calls which will offer broad exposure to the COOs office across complex lines of business and take actions arising from that
  • Following training - Provide support to COO Leadership Team and take on various projects (with offsite event opportunities)

 

Skills and Competencies:  

  • Strong business acumen
  • Be open minded and eager to try everything and anything from Finance to Marketing

 

(3) Ecosystem Digital Experience Intern Projects

  • Contribute towards continuous development of the Partner Benefits Catalog; Ideally have an interest in web design and e-commerce platforms
  • Work with product owner to document future requirements
  • Participate in the scrum team meetings to assist in prioritizing items and providing support as necessary
  • Work with Development teams during the sprint cycles to clarify business requirements and assist as necessary
  • Help design and participate in testing to ensure smooth deployment of enhancements
  • Intelligent Robotic Process Automation (iRPA)
  • Support in identifying suitable processes for automation based on analysis of incoming helpline tickets
  • Create proof of concept for process automation
  • Guided Partner support (GPS) offers a self-service facility to partners
  • Assist the design team to implement enhancements to GPS
  • Gather business requirements and create business cases for future development of GPS

 

Skills and Competencies:

  • Interest in Java and JavaScript would be a benefit
  • Experience with HTML

 

(4) Ecosystem Services Team

  • Bi-weekly reporting of the Competency Framework adoption and periodic special requests for reporting as we are still in early stages and reporting requirements being delivered
  • Data validation work from the new competency engine aligned with the data quality initiative
  • Establishing templates and documenting the governance to support the new Competency Framework
  • Support project management activities
  • Reporting and analytic help for the Product Authorization and Sell / Service Track evolution and simplification work package
  • Support the PES Services team with all aspects of Finance & Operations
  • You will work in various finance areas.  Invoicing, Order to Invoice, Order to Cash, Profit & Loss reporting, forecasting and analytics
  • You will work on various aspects of our operations teams. This will include analytics, purchase order management and creation
  • You will work very closely on the finance processes of our Online Front end store, The Partner Benefits Catalogue. This will give you valuable insight to Digital online sales and operations functions

 

Skills and competencies:

  • Strong interest in Technology, Innovation, Data/Analytics and Digital Communications 
  • Intermediate Excel skills – putting data into tables, applying filters, pivot tables, lookup

 

(5) SAP Partner Ecosystem Success Intelligence & Insights Team

  • Organize unstructured data sources to support business insights (meeting minutes, emails, presentations, videos)
  • Focus on digital design and communications, producing regular newsletters & updates
  • SharePoint management (access, design, update)
  • Help the team support internal customers: guidance in providing access to different systems and answering general queries
  • Keep maintaining the team’s documentation updated and properly stored
  • Support the team in customizing reports and presentations using a variety of SAP applications and dashboards

 

Skills and competencies:

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office suite – especially advanced skills in MS Excel
  • Quick understanding and adaptability of new tools/systems

 

(6) Ecosystem Experience Management (XM) & Sentiment Team

  • Daily monitoring of mailbox and respond/highlight all queries for response by Partner XM Practice team
  • Completion of Qualtrics XM Certification trainings to understand standards & best practices
  • Creation of surveys in Qualtrics once approved by Partner XM Practice lead and provision of question outline as per Survey Creation How-To-Guide (HTG)
  • Continuous maintenance/update of Survey Creation HTG
  • Maintenance of survey tracker
  • Scheduling and providing survey summary updates and final survey reports to survey owners, ensuring use of standard templates etc.
  • Scheduling and following up with survey owners on activities since survey close – close the loop
  • Maintenance & regular update of documents / SharePoint/ Daily task handover document

  • Attention to detail
  • Experience in video editing skills
