Purpose and Objective:
SAP America, Inc seeks a Senior Controller at our San Ramon, CA location responsible for ensuring and delivering outcome of assigned area of responsibility within large, complex activities and end-to-end processes.
Expectations and Tasks:
Participate in smaller projects in controlling/accounting or sub-project stream in cross-unit/-functional projects. Provide decision proposals and alternatives for established and new business models and actively liaise with other finance functions. Build and maintain a strong and trustful business partnership, pass on process improvement needs and actively address and discuss conflicts of interest. Apply relevant Controlling guidelines & policies; detect, raise and provide solutions for compliance issues and ensure overall awareness of compliance, statutory, and governance issue within the business.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field of study and 6 years of experience required. The company will also accept a Master's degree and 4 years of experience.
Work Experience:
Experience must involve 4 years in the following: SAP ERP system and reporting tools including BW, Ariba, Concur & Fieldglass; Accounting principles (IFRS, US-GAAP, HGB); SAP product portfolio; Budget and forecast creation & analysis; Supporting different business areas such as development, cloud operations, support, consulting & sales; Business Partnering / communication with upper level management; and Financial Analysis. 10% travel required.
