About the Team

The SAP Sales Performance Management (SPM) team helps some of the world’s largest enterprises design and run sales incentive programs that drive the right behaviors and deliver predictable growth. Our solutions are used across multiple industries to align sales strategy, performance, and compensation at global scale.

At the core of our portfolio is SAP Incentive Management, a mission-critical product that processes billions of transactions annually with high accuracy, transparency, and auditability. Beyond payout processing, our products enable organizations to motivate sales teams, optimize performance, and adapt incentive strategies as business priorities evolve.

Role Summary –

We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager to join our Incentive Management product team, owning a core product area within the incentive management calculation engine. In this role, you will be responsible for the full product lifecycle - from understanding customer and market needs, to defining product strategy for your domain aligned with broader product and business objectives, to driving the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions. You will work on a mission-critical system used by global enterprises, where accuracy, performance, and operational readiness are essential.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen who also excels at hands-on execution. You can connect business goals to product decisions, influence senior stakeholders, and translate complex problems into clear, actionable requirements for engineering teams. You are equally comfortable presenting product direction to executive audiences and working day-to-day with engineers to refine user stories, make trade-offs, and deliver measurable outcomes across customer adoption, operational efficiency, and business impact.

What you’ll do

  • Understand market trends and customer needs by engaging with customers, partners, sales, and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities and challenges within incentive compensation and Sales Performance Management.
  • Define product strategy for your domain, translating market and customer insights into clear objectives and a prioritized roadmap aligned with broader product and business strategy.
  • Lead product discovery and solution definition, partnering closely with engineering and UX to design scalable, reliable, and user-friendly solutions, and to make informed trade-offs across scope, complexity, and delivery timelines.
  • Drive execution across the full product lifecycle by owning the product backlog, writing clear and actionable user stories, and working day-to-day with engineering teams to deliver high-quality features using an agile development methodology.
  • Own release planning and readiness, including coordination across dependent teams, and support internal and external enablement for sales, partners, and customers to ensure successful adoption.
  • Contribute to commercialization and growth, supporting packaging, pricing, and positioning decisions, and partnering with go-to-market teams to articulate product value and drive customer adoption.
  • Measure and optimize outcomes by defining and tracking KPIs, gathering post-release feedback, and continuously iterating to improve customer value, operational efficiency, and business impact.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product management experience building and delivering enterprise B2B SaaS products, with demonstrated ownership of a defined product domain and a track record of commercially successful outcomes (e.g., adoption, revenue impact, cost efficiency, or customer retention).
  • Proven ability to think strategically and commercially, connecting customer needs and market opportunities to clear product decisions and measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong experience working in agile product development environments, collaborating closely with engineering teams to prioritize backlogs, define requirements, and deliver value iteratively.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business problems into clear, actionable product requirements, balancing scale, reliability, performance, and usability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present product strategy, roadmap, and trade-offs to senior leadership while also working effectively with engineering teams on detailed execution.
  • Experience defining and tracking product success metrics (KPIs) and using data to inform prioritization, trade-offs, and continuous improvement.
  • Practical experience delivering AI- or ML-enabled product capabilities, with the ability to partner effectively with engineering teams to evaluate feasibility, risks, and value.
  • Strong understanding of Generative AI concepts (e.g., RAG, agentic patterns, prompt design) and how they can be applied responsibly within enterprise software products.
  • Self-directed, outcome-oriented mindset with the ability to drive initiatives to completion in a complex, cross-functional environment.
  • Product management experience in Sales Performance Management or Incentive Compensation is a strong plus; experience in adjacent domains such as CX Sales is also highly valued.
