PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

 

Job Description: Planning and Consolidation Senior Consultant:

To address customer requirements in financial areas for cross industries. As SAP Consultant, will have to support current and upcoming SAP projects as well as key customers on their implementations of innovation cloud products, mainly in Financial Planning and Analysis Corporate Close (formerly EPM – Enterprise Performance Management). Build competencies to deliver Planning and Consolidation Solutions to Customers, with SAP Analytic Cloud – Planning SAC-P and S/4Hana Group Reporting GR.

The Planning / Consolidation Senior Consultant should act as responsible to implementation SAC-P / GR solutions including legal requirements, reports, process aligned to the SAP best practices and Business Content procedures and recommendations.

This Business Process Senior Consultant will deal with application specific expert consulting, support in projects, performance of feasibility studies / solution reviews, support of pre-sales activities (software and consulting) identification and application of Integrated Service Delivery options.

 

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY AND TASKS


•    Act as an Advisor to the customer, when covering end-to-end Strategic (Planning / Consolidation) Processes 
•    Responsible from time to time as a sub project team lead and support respective line manager(s) in people development tasks
•    Define the best Financial Planning and / or Consolidation strategy for customers
•    Architect solution / implementation approach (Requirements, Scope, Estimation)
•    Support the definition of strategic, conceptual, and technical boundaries for the design of the Planning and / or Consolidation processes, supporting the accounting principles and process requirements of the customer, with a focus on high efficiency, scalability, and performance
•    Understands the SAP Best Practices, as-is situation, and goals of a customer holistically, can translate it into an adequate roadmap design (processes, applications, systems, SAC-P / GR new functionality, new implementation, and support) as well as the appropriate operating concept based on SAP’s offerings, with a clear focus on Customer Success and S4HANA & Cloud Innovations
•    Support the Developments and execution of Innovation Roadmaps for customers, designs business processes with the customer and feeds them into the IT implementation. Help customers to implement a state-of-the-art Innovation Roadmap
•    Detailed planning of process implementation. Be actively involved in the definition, preparation, conception, realization, and Go Live of SAP Consolidation / Planning implementation projects
•    Define detailed Explore for development requirements
•    Industry /corporate process implementation across all related applications (SAP/non-SAP)
•    Develop and Assure quality of process models
•    Demonstrating expert knowledge of modeling standards and tools
•    Act as Functional Architect on complex implementations
•    Support consulting and license presales opportunities

 

Expected Travel: 75% (for on-site Projects)

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

 

•    University degree. Public Accountant or Professional Education in Finance, System Engineer, or related University degree and / or post graduate degrees, preferably
•    Knowledge of Finances processes of SAP for Enterprise and Multi country 
•    Knowledge of Strategic solutions to address the need for C-Level, related: Corporate and Finance Planning, Consolidation, Profitability scenarios, definitions, Models, and activities, supporting innovation in digital transformation
•    Excellent teamwork and communication skills (including English conversation skills), demonstrate excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
•    Strong executive presence and ability to interact with colleagues and customer at all executive levels
•    Successful teamwork experience & demonstrated leadership abilities
•    SAP BPC Certification

 

WORK EXPERIENCE


•    Minimum of seven years consulting experience in SAP applications
•    Experience with minimum of 6 full cycle implementations /project participation
•    Deep understanding of industry specific business processes 
•    2 -3 years Job experience in SAP (as key user or consultant) with at less 1 year of SAP Solutions: Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) or SAC-Planning or Group Reporting experience
•    Experience in SAP Activate – Agile Methodology for implementation
•    Strong awareness of global cultural differences; work experience in a multi-national, complex environment
•    Has performed several businesses cases
•    Has managed difficult client situations
•    Solid understanding of SAP product offering and its interoperability with other components as well as high level understanding of interface technology.
•    Strong experience and know-how of deployment options and their effects on the end-state architecture (identifying appropriate co-existence solution to support the transition and deployment)
