PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The SAP BTP HANA and Persistency organization is a global organization dedicated on delivering in-memory database solutions such as SAP HANA and SAP HANA Cloud that addresses customers' unique and competitive business requirements.

In SAP BTP Database Cloud Excellence organization, we are working on ensuring the entire software development cycle including development process and build & test infrastructure for the continuous integration and continuous delivery of software products developed by global development teams in SAP BTP HANA and Persistency. For instance, we are developing a massive scalable job execution platform in Cloud which is to be used as a core of our state-of-the-art software CI/CD infrastructure for SAP BTP HANA and Persistency products.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As a Developer you will be working in the global HANA & HANA Cloud Quality Engineering team in SAP BTP Database Cloud Excellence together with a group of exceptionally talented and motivated colleagues.

You will architect, develop and operate powerful, configurable, and adaptable CI/CD services that scale for large business-critical products. Those services are built on top of an in-house execution platform that orchestrates containers across datacenters and public clouds. In this role, you will continuously improve our services with automation at every level, fault tolerance techniques, and a cloud-first mindset.

You will be successful in this role if you collaborate with peers and teams globally, support internal users, and commit to continuous learning.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

We require that you meet the core competencies and skills listed below.

Minimum:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related field or related technical discipline

· Experience with the programming language Python

· Familiarity with containerization and Linux/Unix environments

· Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. GIT) and constructive code review

· Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)

Preferred:

· Experience with Docker, Mesos and Marathon

· Experience with generative AI technologies

· Excellent communication skills in English
