Key Responsibilities & Tasks

 

Provides a full range of tax counsel work to different addressees including tax authorities. Tax counsel work is defined as the role of a qualified tax advisor/tax lawyer with the official permission to provide tax advice to third party clients, autonomous substitution in tax legal matters in front of authorities and court. Senior tax specialist compares to a Manager Position in big Tax Consulting firms).  Drives on execution of policies and ensures compliance with relevant laws. Prepares tax returns and filing documents for complex entities; reviews tax returns.

Corporate Function: Works on defining policies in his/her specific area of expertise.

Coach / Knowledge Broker
Proactively shares knowledge expertise.
Shows outstanding learning agility, performs as trainer for topics with deep professional knowledge.
Collects relevant information from all resources to transfer knowledge across organizational boundaries, support organizational learning as knowledge broker.

Innovation & Best Practice Creator
Regularly participates and organizes events in sharing best practices.

Ambassador
Represents SAP to customers and external partners.
Represents Global Tax internally on specific cross-functional projects.

 

Experience & Educational Requirements

Experience & Language Requirements
5-8 years functional experience
Fluent in English

Education
University degree or comparable

Professional Training & Certification
CTC/CPA or comparable or in preparation
