PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The SAP HANA Database & Analytics organization is a global organization dedicated on delivering database & analytics technology and solutions such as SAP HANA Database & SAP Analytics Cloud that addresses customers' unique and competitive business requirements.

In SAP HANA Database & Analytics Cross-Engineering organization, we are working on ensuring the entire software development cycle including development process and build & test infrastructure for the continuous integration and continuous delivery of software products developed by global development teams in SAP HANA Database & Analytics. For instance, we are developing a massive scalable job execution platform in Cloud which is to be used as a core of our state-of-the-art software CI/CD infrastructure for SAP HANA & Analytics products.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As a Developer you will be working in the global HANA QA Infrastructure team in SAP HANA & Analytics Cross-Engineering together with a group of exceptionally talented and motivated colleagues.

Your tasks includes development of python-based job execution framework in cloud environment for HANA development infrastructure. The focus of the development is mainly the CI/CD platform and infrastructure which is one of the most advanced software CI/CD pipeline in the software industry. This is the foundation to improve the full cycle of Software Development Process of SAP HANA Database and Analytics products.

We are looking for Developers who are committed to a technology career path. Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter and tabular CV, copies of the obtained degrees and references (if available).

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

We require that you meet the core competencies and skills listed below.

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related field or related technical discipline
• 3+ years of experience in software development
• Understanding about distributed system and microservice
• Programming language: advanced Python
• Linux skills and experience
• Docker skills and experience
• Excellent communication skills in English and Korean

Preferred:

• Programming language: Rust
• Strong debugging and issue analysis skill in distributed system
• Experience in production development with Python
• Experience in Cloud technologies (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Experience in container orchestration technologies (Mesos, Kubernetes, …)
• Experience in designing microservice architecture
• Ability to write document for technical users
