About SAP STAR Program
Global Student Training and Rotation (STAR) Program offers university students hands-on industry experience at SAP, the world’s leading software provider. As part of a global program across 14 countries, STAR students work on real business projects and develop professional skills. Unlike most internships, this program allows students to continue their studies at university without taking a break or needing to graduate first. Upon graduation, you will have opportunities to apply for open positions within SAP and potentially become a valued member of our team.
Education and Qualifications
Open to undergraduate and graduate students who meet the following requirements and process the core competencies listed below.

Expected to graduate in Feb. 2027, Aug. 2027, or Feb. 2028 (required)

Course work in Database, Data Structures, Operating Systems, Computer Network, Algorithms, etc.

Intermediate communication skills in English (Fluent is a plus)

Analytical skills combined with the ability to work on complex topics is a plus

An open-minded, problem-solving attitude, resilience, and positive spirit even under challenging conditions
Role Overview: Platform Engineer
The program includes a rotation system that allows you to participate in three different projects or teams within the organization. Your first rotation will be in HANA DevSupport Team.
There is no perfect software/services. Customers frequently meet issues during running HANA / HANA Cloud. But SAP has a state-of-the-art "support process". Most known product or consulting issues are handled by SAP product support or consultants. But some issues are really caused by a new bug of HANA. In this case, DevSupport team in HANA database development org is a team to investigate them and communicate with customers on behalf of entire HANA development team as the final stage of SAP support process.
So, it will be great experience to support customers of HANA and HANA Cloud. You can learn most components consisted in HANA / HANA Cloud and how they affect each other from HANA development point of view. You can understand what kind of issues customers have from customer point of view in the market.

18-month structured program with learning, mentorship, and rotations

Employment Type: Fixed-term Intern 18 months

Probation Period: 3 months from the date of hire (extendable if necessary)

The detailed working conditions will be subject to the employment agreement

Full-time (40 hrs/week) during breaks; part-time (20 hrs/week) or full-time during semesters

Flexible hours aligned with academic schedules

Eligible to apply for full-time roles after 9 months and graduation

Supports university field practicum / academic credit programs (대학 현장실습 프로그램 / 학점인정 프로그램).
