Description

SAP is looking for Business Process Consultant – Data Architects with Analytics & Data Management knowledge in China. Data Architect is responsible for driving the adoption of SAP’s strategic product Business Data Cloud. This role involves intensive onsite and remote customer engagements throughout the entire lifecycle of the adoption journey: from discovery (presales) to planning, adoption, and operation (postsales).

We are looking for an architect who is dynamic and flexible with a solid business and technical background that can be applied to Data & Analytics project in various industries. Three key qualifications are required, i.e. SAP Product Knowledge, Competitor & Partner knowledge, Professional skills.

In this position, you are expected to provide a meticulous service to SAP’s largest customers operating on the most complex SAP landscapes. You will interact with individuals at every level of the customer’s organization, from subject matter experts to executives, from in-house IT team to 3rd party vendors, in order to meet the customer’s needs.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer Data&Analytics strategy, their drivers & constraints and articulate an SAP solution vision & strategy for/with customer, including data strategy, solution roadmap, use-case exploration, transformation advisory, architecture design, data governance, program & project planning.

• Understand business requirement, their drivers and articulate solutions including business process change, configuration change and product enhancements

• Analyze application and configuration requirements according to specifications to aid in the development of project plans

• Design and Develop technical solutions across multiple data domains in project teams

• Troubleshooting technical issues during implementation/operation and continuously improve existing solutions

• Act as trusted advisory and provide professional consulting services in customer-led or partner-led SAP projects

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant discipline. Postgraduate degree preferred.

• 8-15 years’ experience in IT solutions and SAP solutions

• 6-10 years’ experience in SAP Data & Analytics solutions

• Deep understanding of SAP products and architecture, e.g. BW, Datasphere, SAC, HANA.

• Good understanding of non-SAP products, e.g. Databricks, Snowflake, GoogleBigQuery.

• Full Project Lifecycle experience, including requirements gathering, development, configuration and operation

• Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of customers, partners, and colleagues 

• Other language skills like Japanese, Korean is a plus

• Interest and Willingness to travel to customer sites long-term and other business related travel, up to 60% 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience in DataBricks, Snowflake, GoogleBigQuery, Collibra, DataRobot is a plus

• Experience in ML, GenAI (RAG, Vector Engine, Python, R, Spark) is a plus

• Experience in design and implementation of SAP BPC solution (both planning and consolidation) is a plus

• Experience in design and implementation of SAP PaPM solution is a plus

• Good understanding on S/4 Embedded Analytics technology is a plus

• Good understanding on ETL technology, e.g. SAP BODS, SAP SLT is a plus 

• Industry know-how and industry solution (FSI, Auto, Energy, Retail, etc.) is a plus
