MSM Key Responsibilities & Tasks


The MSM’s primary responsibilities include protecting and increasing SAP support revenue, educate customers and help them identify and use SAP Support features, leveraging SAP support polices to help AE structure the new deal etc.

  • Support Revenue, MAR lost and Winback- Achieve / exceed quota targets.
  • Commercial elements - negotiate with customer for MA payment solution including payment agreement, split payment, tender, PO, support contract terms and support policy clarification etc;
  • Support value elements - communicate with customer for SAP support feature, align SAP product support team, LCX team and DBS team to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Support policy elements - familiar with SAP support policies e.g.  on premium/cloud extension, support termination/reinstatement, support upgrade/downgrade etc, help sales team to structure the deal to solve the shelf-ware issue by SAP extension policy, sign winback deal by support reinstatement policy.
  • Communication – align with SAP internal different LOB team including sales, GCCO, legal, O2I, deal operation, DBS, product support team to secure MA payment on track.
  • Proactive to learn new knowledge and policy under challenging environment 
  • Proven experience on renewal business is preferred.



Experience & Language Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in the following areas:
    • Selling or delivering consulting services
    • Managing complex customer engagements
    • Commercial experience including experience developing account management plans and contract negotiation
  • Line of Business specific experience – specific to the LoB that they are being primarily hired into. Examples include:
    • Supply chain, Finance and Procurement and eBunsiness expertise
    • Human capital management, recruitment, learning, compensation and talent management expertise
    • Customer relationship management, sales, sales force automation and sales team management expertise
    • Financial systems, financial planning and enterprise resource planning expertise
  • Complex Account Management
  • Multi-lingual depending upon region
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
