As an Expert -Software Performance Engineering, you will become a key player in the current SuccessFactors Engineering Performance team’s transition to empower product and engineering, operations run much faster on performance assessment/troubleshooting/optimization via performance engineering strategy revisiting, performance testing & analysis, and performance-oriented tools Research & Development. This is a highly visible role, and the right candidate will inspire and motivate our engineering teams to deliver world class solutions that thrills our customers and their employees.

Leads/contributes to engineering efforts of disclosing performance issues of SuccessFactors in timely manner before and after each release.Dentifies opportunities for continuous improvement of performance engineering in scalable way.Coaches and advises implementation team(s) on all aspects which have impact on SuccessFactors performance.Collaborates with stakeholders of product and engineering, operations to solve disclosed performance issue effectively.

 

Requirements:

  • Proficient domain knowledge in software performance engineering, dedicated working in this area for 10+ years,BS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Technical, business and/or methodological leadership in performance engineering; ever lead internal virtual team to accomplish, as well as can represents SAP to customers regarding performance engineering
  • Solid coding skills in JAVA EE programming, and deep knowledge in front-end (React is a plus) and server-side (including Database) software design, software-as-a-service architect and cloud-native technologies like docker, k8s, etc.
  • Hands-on automation skills in JMeter scripting and development with CICD systems like Jenkins/ArgoCD/etc.
  • Rich hands-on skills in test data and cases management of performance testing; in-depth performance analysis to identify performance bottlenecks or root causes, based on various resource like hardware, Operating System, middlewares, web/app containers, JVM, and application code, and ready to build new tools to collect new data for advanced performance analysis; Focused, responsible individual who enjoys working on a team and thrives under pressure
  • The engagement as a developer in business software development and the escalation support experience for customer performance issues  is a big plus
  • Advanced communication (writing/oral) and presentation skills in English
