About The Role

SAP HANA Cloud is cloud-based data management service offered by SAP that provides advanced data storage, processing, and analytics capabilities.

As a successful candidate for this role, you're supposed to have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, fluency in coding and systems design, solid communication skills, and a desire to solve complex problems of scale which are uniquely SAP.  And with this role, you will develop and enhance various components within HANA Cloud and interaction with other SAP components.

Main responsibilities

Design, implement, test, and maintain various modules within SAP HANA Cloud.

Identify areas of improvements to current design and advocate alternative methods to enhance the services particularly for cloud properties and interaction with other SAP components

Design, debug, analyze and resolve complex database problems of customers and SAP internal stakeholders

Collaborate with architects and development leads on the design and implementation of future cloud data processing and integration

Partner with engineering teams in different geographic locations to diagnose and resolve design issues and customer reported problems  

Education and Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or computer engineering with a minimum of 3 years of software development experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience

Experience with multi-threaded concurrent and parallel programming, synchronization mechanisms, memory management, and data structures

Strong knowledge of C/C++/Go with expertise in database internals and/or operating system internals

Experience with Linux programming, debugging, and operating system interfaces

Experience with Cloud technologies, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes)

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills  

Excellent verbal and communication skills
