What you’ll do
SAP’s central FinOps unit ensures transparency in infrastructure capacity, utilization, and charge-out while optimizing services through effective reservation management and waste reduction. Our engineering team develops the necessary capabilities, dashboards, and automations to support these services efficiently.
As a member of our agile team, you will take on key responsibilities, including:
- Driving initiatives from a Developer & DevOps perspective within our internal FinOps suite.
- Collaborating across teams to understand business needs and gather feedback.
- Leveraging your expertise to influence architecture decisions and best practices.
- Designing and implementing features from the product backlog.
- Being accountable for service stability and overseeing operational tasks related to system reliability and data quality optimization.
- Documenting functionalities, concepts, and end-user guidance.
- Providing professional leadership for a product component team in a dynamic, multicultural virtual environment.
- Ensuring effective task prioritization and resource planning.
- Continuously improving the product and development processes.
- Leading medium-sized projects with a strong customer-focus
What you bring
Required Skills:
- Highly motivated, quick learner, and proactive mindset
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Informatics
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and deadline management skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical abilities
- Proficient in Git, SQL, SAP HANA, JavaScript/TypeScript, Cloud Computing
- 3+ years of experience as a Software Developer
- Knowledge of IaaS (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Big Data concepts
Preferred Skills:
- Project management experience
- Familiarity with ITIL, Kubernetes, SAP Business Data Cloud or BTP
