(Senior) Full Stack Developer with ABAP

What you`ll do: 

Our Tools Team is growing, and we are looking for a (Senior) Developer who would like to join us in our mission to reliably operate, maintain and optimize the PPMS (Product and Production Management System) and SWDC (Software Download Center) backend systems. PPMS is SAP's central data repository for technical software logistics information of software products and software components. It serves as the foundation for numerous tools, processes, and services used by SAP employees, partners, and customers. SWDC is a service consuming PPMS data that allows Customers and Partners to download SAP software. Furthermore, the team is also designing and implementing a new state-of-the-art Dependency Management System (DMS), that allows SAP application developers to automatically derive transparency on the complete Software Bill of Materials (SBOM).  

As a developer in our team, you will:  

• Design, develop, and maintain ABAP-based functionality in the area of PPMS and SWDC backend. 
• Provide expert consulting and guidance services to clients, addressing their PPMS-related requests and issues. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to PPMS and SWDC (focus on ABAP development).  
• Together with the team and other stakeholders: ensure the successful delivery of projects. 
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of development activities, including technical specifications and user guides.  
• Drive continuous improvement: we are a unit that loves to learn and get better at what we do. 

What you bring: 

• Bachelor’s degree or comparable qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field  
• Strong analytical and logical skills, ability to quickly acquire thorough understanding in innovative technologies are necessary  
• Profound knowledge of ABAP programming, ABAP Objects, ABAP CDS and oData, minimum of 5 years of coding experience  
• Full-stack experience with developing backend and operating UIs using modern technologies is preferable (knowledge of the SAP BTP is a plus)  
• Good knowledge in e.g. TypeScript, Java Script, Go, along with a good knowledge in Test Automation.  
• Good knowledge in CI/CD Tools like Jenkins or GitHub is expected 
• Experience in scaling agile working models 
• Particularly good team player with goal-oriented working style, fluent in English
