(Senior) User Assistance Developer in Cloud & Lifecycle Management

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Cloud & Lifecycle Management organization designs and implements the infrastructure to handle the requirements of the rapidly growing SAP Cloud Business.  We are implementing the automation of delivering the whole portfolio of SAP Software to our customers, also we automate the process on update/upgrade and decommission of our software. We work with the latest cloud native technologies and we have solutions both in Cloud and On-Premise.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced (Senior) User Assistance Developer to join our dynamic team.  As a Senior User Assistance Writer, you will

• Lead user assistance projects, serve as subject matter expert for development/User Assistance initiatives, and define user assistance strategy for the product.
• Create help documentation (embedded help, multi-media, and documentation) targeted at various user profiles.
• Define terminology (simple, consistent, and conforms to industry standards).
• Create or participate in creation of video tutorials to guide our users through the apps (script writing, screen recording, video editing) that match our video guidelines.
• Partner with UX designers, product managers, developers, and subject-matter experts to align content with product features and the overall user experience.
• Ensure all content maintains the highest standards of accuracy, consistency, and linguistic correctness. Oversee editing, proofreading, and adherence to content architecture, terminology, and guidelines. Advocate for clear, translatable, and user-centered UI texts to enhance the overall experience.
• Identify and address user needs by conducting research, usability tests, and engaging with internal and external data sources. Leverage these insights to refine content, anticipate challenges, and deliver an intuitive and seamless experience for users.
• Drive initiatives to improve UA tools, processes, and concepts while promoting SAP standards and guidelines. Lead efforts to continuously optimize workflows and introduce innovative solutions for content delivery and management.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, UX Design, Computer Science, or any other related experience
• Extensive experience in information development, technical writing, support, or other forms of content development
• Experience in serving as a content subject matter expert within a development group
• Extensive experience in technical writing along with experience in documenting end-2-end user experiences
• Ideally first-language proficiency in English or excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to express complex technical information in a clear and precise manner
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines, deliver on time, and ensure high quality in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in creating and publishing UA deliverables, especially in-app help content.
