Summary:

We are a small team dedicated to developing the Integration Orchestrator (IO) and Transport Orchestrator (TO). The IO framework is crafted to seamlessly manage and orchestrate the execution of automation steps for integration purposes, spanning across both OnPrem and Cloud environments, eliminating the need for manual intervention. On the other hand, the TO application is tailored to streamline the centralized import of transport requests across landscapes with utmost ease and efficiency, leveraging SAP’s standard TMS (Transport Management System) functionality. Both IO and TO serve as indispensable tools for our esteemed customers, Solution Innovation Experience (Demo) and SAP Education (Training), ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of their businesses.

The Role:

Are you driven by the pursuit of continuous learning and excel in dynamic environments? We're in search of passionate individuals to support our demo and education departments through the implementation of scalable, adaptable, and sustainable automation solutions. As an IO/TO ABAP Developer, you'll shoulder the responsibility for advancing various functionalities within these realms, working closely with our customers. Your role will encompass the entire development lifecycle, from initial requirement discussions to design, architecture, implementation, debugging, and issue resolution. As part of the IO/TO ABAP Development team, you'll collaborate closely with international colleagues on diverse development projects, engaging in the following key activities:

  • Design new appealing and sustainable solutions for automation integration
  • Streamlining and enhancing existing programs and functions
  • Pioneering the development of new applications to meet our customers’ growing integration requirements
  • Proficiency across the entire technology stack, spanning UI, backend, and database layers

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Good ABAP programming skills, with excellent knowledge of ABAP Development Environment (Data Dictionary, Development Workbench, etc.)
  • Experience in developing Web-Service APIs (ODATA)
  • A plus is experience with SAP BTP and in S/4 HANA Cloud environments
  • Sound knowledge of system configuration and administration 
  • Technical educational background like bachelor’s or master’s degree. Preferred fields of study in computer science, physics, mathematical, technical or science field of study
  • Work experience of 3+ years

Our department, Training, Demo, Consulting (TDC), offers an extensive array of services catering to SAP training, demo, and consulting customers. This encompasses system and landscape setup, maintenance, as well as SAP Basis support. Additionally, a significant aspect of our core operations involves the development and implementation of features for mass system landscape cloning and automation routines, leveraging state-of-the-art technologies. TDC operates as a global delivery unit, with teams located in Singapore, Germany, the USA, and Mexico.
