The development center of SAP in Bulgaria plays a key role in the defining and developing of the SAP Business Technology Platform. With its more than 1400 professionals, SAP Labs Bulgaria also has strong contributions toward life-cycle management, user interface & user experience across the broader portfolio of SAP products and has recently welcomed new teams focusing on business applications. What you`ll do:

On our mission to improve developer experience at SAP, we are looking for somebody like you. We are creating a new Scrum Team in Sofia, Bulgaria, to join us in developing “Hyperspace Portal”, the new entry point for 50.000 product developers at SAP. 

As associate development architect, you will be the technical lead of a small co-located and cross-functional team, working closely together with the product owner, scrum master and further developers, as well as experts around the world that support your team, like product managers, UX designers etc.

“Architecture is for humans, not for machines” - we are looking for team players with excellent communication skills who can drill into complex technical challenges and explain them to non-techies in a crisp way. 

We also believe that in an agile team, architecture is not a single role, but the result of collaboration, with the architect being a trustful partner of your product owner in finding the fastest way to reach a business goal. In the team, you will also take over concrete programming tasks yourself. 

You are also entitled to participate in our unit-wide research initiative that reserves up to 10% of our time for research & innovation.

What you bring:

We don't expect that you know everything already – you’ll get the time to learn and your colleagues will help you with that. 

• Degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification in a related field 
• At least 4 years of experience in a coding-related role – preferably full stack development using a language like JavaScript/TypeScript or Go
• Ability to deal with complexity and strong analytical skills
• Quality mindset and ability to follow, set and ensure quality standards
• Knowledge of common modelling languages like UML or TAM 
• Experience in Scrum or SAFe is beneficial
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
