The development center of SAP in Bulgaria plays a key role in the defining and developing of the SAP Business Technology Platform. With its more than 1700 professionals, SAP Labs Bulgaria also has strong contributions toward life-cycle management, user interface & user experience across the broader portfolio of SAP products and business applications. Most recently, SAP Labs Bulgaria expanded in the topics of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. You will be responsible for a team of highly motivated professionals that defines, executes and continuously improves core cloud operations tasks, including incident, capacity, tenant and change management, as well as system monitoring and automation. Your team will drive high-priority projects across the organization, working closely with the development teams for the cloud services of SAP’s Business Technology Platform.

As part of the TICO Cloud Foundation Center leadership team, you will collaborate with other managers in Sofia, Berlin, Bengaluru and Vancouver to provide the foundation for best-in-class cloud operations, enabling our 24/7 operations teams to excel and guarantee customer satisfaction.

 

 Your main tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Help the personal growth of each team member, matching the business needs and opportunities with the colleague's individual strengths, expertise, and aspirations. Provide open and timely feedback, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Build an empowered, motivated, and high-performing team, develop supportive team culture and climate
  • Be responsible for strategic, cross-team initiatives and projects
  • Drive operational delivery through agile methodologies allowing teams to react quickly to changing business needs and demonstrate change resilience
  • Take care of the effective execution, oversee interactions with other teams to ensure on-time and correctly prioritized delivery and accountability
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to constantly evolve organizational processes and best practices and ensure best-in-class end-to-end delivery
  • Convey a sense of ownership in everything you and your team does

 

What you bring:

  • University education in computer science, software engineering or a similar technical field
  • Experience in a leadership role – People Manager, Team Lead, Product Owner, Program Manager or similar
  • Strong decision-making, problem solving and execution skills
  • Strong technical background and willingness to dive into software environments and technical issues.
  • Highly organized, self-aware, emotionally intelligent person, able to handle pressure and deadlines, prioritizing and managing competing demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to connect and easily relate to people of all levels and backgrounds
  • Can-do attitude, effective communicator, able to convey clear messages, vision and guidance
  • Very good English and Bulgarian language skills
  • Good presentation skills, and confidence to present on all management levels

 

Meet your team

Our T&I Cloud Operations (TICO) organization, with locations in Bengaluru, Sofia, Walldorf, Berlin, Vancouver, and Shanghai, is responsible for the operations of all SAP Business Technology Platform cloud services delivered to our internal and external customers. We ensure the 7/24 incident management process, drive improvements via our problem management process, create transparency via our reports, meetings and communication channels, and support development teams with coordination on change management and cloud operation compliance topics. We work very closely with product development teams according to the DevOps principles. On SAP level, we drive and align process and tool improvements together with other cloud operation teams and central teams.
