The development center of SAP in Bulgaria plays a key role in the defining and developing of the SAP Business Technology Platform. General Description

Are you ready to lead a newly formed team and keen to deliver a cutting edge microservices as part of SAP’scentral entry point, providing the perfect environment to build cloud-native services and business applications on top of the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). Bring your creativity, engineering skills and innovative spirit into our team! The BTP ADX team is developing a leading Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solution for creating and extending SAP enterprise software. It is at the core of SAP’s cloud strategy

  What you'll do

• Managing all life cycle aspects of people development – recruiting, on boarding, motivation, up-skilling
• Responsible for the delivery of high-quality software
• Ability to ship complex software products
• Manage and set expectations for other development teams, internal stakeholders, customers, etc.
• Regularly communicate with architects, product owners, engineering, dev ops, and members of other teams
• Keep abreast of relevant industry and technology trends and best practices

What you bring

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Development Manager, team player, a respected thought leader, with a genuine interest in technology and a passion for delivering cutting-edge products, and seeking a new challenge and career opportunity.

Tech you bring:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent - mandatory. M.Sc. – advantage.
• +10 years of professional experience in software development and Agile methodologies, out of which 5 years as development manager
• Experience of E2E web application development in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Java, Node.js
• Profound knowledge and experience about entire Cloud software development lifecycle

Leadership skills you bring:

• Can-do and keep the promising attitude, result driven and able to effectively build relationships
• Passion for engineering excellence, quality, and customer success
• Exceptional interpersonal skills: open-minded, team player, result-oriented, motivated to work in an international and diverse environment
• Experience as people manager incl. hiring, onboarding, training, and upskilling high performing teams
• Results driven, with an extreme drive for execution
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
• Experience and practice in agile/scrum methodology
• Excellent analytical abilities, innovative and creative problem solver, and attention to details
• Fluent English – mandatory
