PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP Globalization has the mission to empower every customer to succeed locally and globally. By localizing SAP’s products to run compliant with local regulations, SAP Globalization is indeed a true differentiator for our key products like SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, SAP Concur etc. 

SAP Globalization is working on developing AI agents and tools to streamline the localization of SAP software for different countries. The focus is on leveraging AI in activities such as coding, research, automation, and software design, with the goal of accelerating the delivery of solutions tailored to meet local requirements.

YOUR FUTURE ROLE 

We are looking for a team-oriented, innovative, and results-driven Development Manager and Engineering lead. In this role you will build up, lead, and develop our new AI team in Sofia by working in a global organization who values trust, respect, and diversity. Your main tasks will be:

• Build high performing strong agile team, foster trust, drive employee engagement, and develop team identity
• Be responsible for the team backlog that your team delivers- in time, scope, quality and with the user experience that positively surprises our customers.
• Discover, attract, and develop the most talented, brilliant, and dedicated people
• Help the personal growth of each team member. Provide honest, open, and timely feedback and coaching
• Team-up with your peers and product managers in an international management team to ensure on-time delivery of joint products
• Work close with our large customer base for troubleshooting problems and to help adopting our solutions
• Staying current on AI technologies and understanding how it may fit into or advance our strategic direction
• Drive the integration of modern AI capabilities, actively shaping the infusion of Generative AI features right from the beginning. This is a rare opportunity to make a significant impact and be part of a groundbreaking journey.
• Streamline and plan the automation for the process of monitoring, analyzing, and applying legal changes to enable customer compliance with local regulations in multiple countries and industries. Gain valuable insights into critical Business Processes.

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for a leader who shares our passion for creating products that people love to use. Further role requirements are:

• Proven track record as a good team player and the ability to motivate teams 
• Exposure to & experience in multiple of the following technologies: 
  • Container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, etc. 
  • Cloud integration and deployment on AWS, GCP, or Azure. 
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python or Java 
  • SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) 
  • DevOps methodologies and principles.
• Strong project management skills based on deep understanding and experience with agile methodologies
• Passionate about people matters and helping others to improve and excel
• Involvement in recruiting, ideally within engineering teams is an advantage
• Degree in Engineering / Computer science or equivalent subject 
• High emotional intelligence, low ego, and ability to bring fun and positivity to any situation
• Fluent in English language (written and verbal) with the ability to communicate appropriately with stakeholders and customers

Optional:

• Exposure to and experience in Generative AI.
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLM) and Prompt Engineering. 
• Experience with MCP or similar technologies 

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 10+ years of professional experience in software development and agile methodologies – ideally in a product or team leader position with a strong innovation focus
