The SAP UA CSI organization is looking for a Knowledge Architect to help build our next generation of cloud tools and solutions. The successful candidate will work with our engineers and experts to organize and make digital content easier to find and use. They will assess users' content needs and continually refine how we manage digital information. The Knowledge Architect will define processes and choose the right tools for creating, organizing, and accessing digital content.

 

Expectations

As we are working on new, potentially complex architecture, we need someone who is resourceful, eager to learn, a creative problem solver, and has strong collaborative skills. We're looking for someone who can:

 

  • Collaborate with domain experts to design taxonomy and ontology models, applying semantic web standards such as RDF, RDF*, SKOS, OWL to ensure the applicability and interoperability of models and schemas.
  • Create taxonomies for industry codes and classify data, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Lead the management and optimization of content within Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Ixiasoft.
  • Develop workflows and authoring guidelines for DITA XML to ensure scalable and standardized content delivery across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate with content creators and information architects to ensure DITA-compliant XML-based documentation is efficiently structured and reusable.
  • Optimize the usage of CMS systems for structured content management and version control, ensuring seamless integration of metadata and content tagging across systems.
  • Manage the consistency of content outputs, workflows, and publishing models using XML-based structured content approaches.

 

Role Requirements

 

  • B.Sc in engineering, computer science, library science or related fields.
  • 8+ years of work experience in knowledge management, metadata modeling, or similar.
  • Experience in designing and managing systems for effective communication and information exchange.
  • Experience with DITA XML, content modularization, and creating structured content authoring workflows.
  • Experience working with Ixiasoft or similar CMS platforms, especially for managing large-scale documentation and complex authoring environments.
  • Strong understanding of XML technologies and standards, including DITA XML, OWL, and RDF.
  • Experience working with knowledge graphs such as Blazegraph or Neo4j.
  • Experience with metadata modeling tools such as Semaphore.
  • Experience with Elasticsearch, hybrid search, and semantic search solutions.
  • Design, develop, and manage SharePoint portal sites for teams and departments to communicate effectively and exchange information.
