What you`ll do

SAP Intelligent Enterprise Solutions (IES) organization, also known as SAP IT, has the purpose to “Deliver and Run the Intelligent Enterprise”.
IES is SAP’s technology backbone and most compelling SAP reference customer, and as such, we influence SAP product development and strategy, with our customer experience at heart.
We’re looking for a Junior Big Data and Machine Learning Platform Engineer, with an entrepreneurial spirit to join our diverse team and work on innovative projects. 

The Role 

As a Junior Big Data and Machine Learning Platform Engineer, you will: 
•    Contribute to the implementation of best-in class services for our SAP Data Platforms, industrializing the entire Data Engineering pipelines and Machine Learning solutions life cycle (MLOps)
•    Work closely with product managers/product owners, scrum masters/release train engineers, AI/data scientists, data engineers, AI developers 
•    Get involved in all aspects of entire solution lifecycle starting from ideation to creation & operationalizing 

Responsibilities 

•    Develop & Operate high quality Data & Machine Learning platform services for large enterprise
•    Design, code and test new product features by following agile development practices
•    Demonstrate excellent quality, design, development and delivery skills in scrum teams working in short development and release cycles
•    Collaborate with SAP Data and AI product development to influence the roadmap of our SAP standard products
    
What you bring

•    Bachelor‘s or master’s degree in business informatics, computer science, engineering or related technical fields. Students are welcome to apply 
•    Can-do attitude, result-oriented, problem-solving, and positive mindset 
•    Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills in English, incl. ability to communicate complex concepts in simple form to non-technical audience
•    Interest in Big Data, Data Science, AI, Machine Learning and MLOps issues
•    Good knowledge in Python 
•    Interest in Cloud Data & AI technologies (eg Microsoft Azure Data & AI services, Databricks / Spark, AWS, GCP)

You are either familiar with or at least curious about

•    SAP BTP Data and AI technologies (eg HANA Cloud, AI Core and AI Launchpad)
•    SAP BTP or equivalent JavaScript UI Development Frameworks (e.g., SAP UI5, Angular, Vue.js) and Server-Side API Development Frameworks (e.g., Java Spring Boot) is a plus
