About the team

Our team is unique worldwide with regards to breadth and depth of NetWeaver AS Java knowledge.

We provide development support and maintenance for Java EE 5 certified application server implemented by SAP. In other words, we are contributors in non-open source project.

Our customers are the largest companies in the world.

 We resolve complex issues and provide software fixes of the product to help our customers run successful business smoothly.


In this role, you’ll:

During the internship period, you will be focused on a variety of learning topics which are essential to building a strong foundation, necessary for the success of every software engineer.


The Buddy

o        Every intern has dedicated Buddy assigned to her/him.

o        The Buddy is a team member who serves as a primary contact for the interns.

o        The Buddy helps you find answers to your questions and supports your development as a software engineer.


Enhance your Java knowledge:

-        Working with files

-        Exception handling

-        Concurrency

-        Regular Expressions

-        Collections and algorithms

-        Effective logging

-        Security principles

-        Networking (Sockets, Client-server architecture)

Learn database modeling:

-        Relational algebra – (the short version)

Enhance your coding style:

-        “Clean Code”

-        “Effective Java”

-        “Design patterns”


Learn technologies:

-        Protocols

o        HTTP

o        HTTPS

o        SSL, TLS

-        Web technologies

o        HttpServlet

-        Database modeling technologies:

o        JPA

-        Business Logic modeling technologies:

o        EJB


Who you are:

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.


o        Education (currently enrolled)

o        Basic Java knowledge

o        Willingness to acquire new knowledge and apply it in resolving problems

o        Proactive and open-minded

o        Good speaking and writing English

o        Previous working experience is not required for this program

o        Willingness to be team-player oriented
