The development center of SAP in Bulgaria plays a key role in the defining and developing of the SAP Business Technology Platform. With its more than 1400 professionals, SAP Labs Bulgaria also has strong contributions toward life-cycle management, user interface & user experience across the broader portfolio of SAP products and has recently welcomed new teams focusing on business applications. About the role
As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping innovative, user-centered design solutions that solve real problems. You’ll go beyond pixel pushing, driving the experience from research through delivery and optimization.

What you’ll do

• Solve complex design challenges: Use your curiosity to unravel complicated problems and define experiences that meet both user and business needs.
• Collaborate and communicate: Partner with other designers, product managers, and engineers, and communicate ideas clearly. Strong communication is crucial—whether you’re advocating for users, collaborating with teams, or challenging assumptions.
• Make smart trade-offs: Know when to pursue perfection and when "good enough" will do. It’s about delivering value, not endless tweaking.
• Advocate for critical thinking: Be bold enough to challenge decisions when necessary. We value critical thinkers who aren't afraid to say when something’s off track.
• Own the design process: Translate insights into wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. Test, iterate, and optimize designs based on real-time feedback and user testing.
• Participate in and lead research efforts: Dive deep into user behaviors, pain points, and needs, leveraging insights to inform and validate design decisions.
• Ensure a strong user focus: Make sure the design aligns with user needs, desires, and behaviors — and always be willing to conduct research when necessary to validate solutions.

What you bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, with a portfolio showcasing your experience as a product designer in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency with design and prototyping tools like Figma.
• A deep understanding of user-centered design principles, methodologies, and research practices.
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to collaborate across teams.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Proactive facilitator who drives discussions, encourages diverse input, and ensures productive, goal-oriented collaboration
• Ability to handle complex problems and translate user and business requirements into functional, intuitive designs.
• A basic understanding of the cloud developer domain is a plus.
• A balanced approach: knowing when to push for excellence and when to make pragmatic decisions.
