What you’ll do:

Expected start date: ASAP (6 months internship)
In this role, you’ll:
SAP is the industry leader in enterprise applications, analytics, mobility and cloud. Our department is responsible for delivering state of the art Web frameworks, services and tools for the User Interfaces of the SAP applications and S/4HANA FIORI technology stack.
Our focus is SAPUI5 - a highly scalable, cross-browser JavaScript Framework. SAPUI5 incorporates a rich set of Web controls based on HTML 5, which are used to create the UIs of Business Applications designed for desktop, tablets and mobile devices. SAPUI5 is available for the developer community as OpenUI5.
Additionally, SAPUI5 provides capabilities for customizing and personalizing applications and thus having a so-called variant of applications, without modifying their original version. We call this approach UI Flexibility and customers apply it via easy-to-use WYSWYG like tools. Those tools are part of SAP’s web based development environment - SAP Business Application Studio (BAS). SAP BAS is an IDE based on the open platform for Web & Desktop IDEs and its plugins are compatible with Visual Studio Code.
Our team provide web and desktop plugins for Visual Studio Code to allow customers and partners to extend existing template-based applications. This way customer’s gain best of both – consistency and customization with low cost of ownership

- Educational requirements

- Studying BS or MS in Computer Science or related field

- Desired skills / experience to be successful in this role

- Advanced JavaScript (ES6) and TypeScript
- Node.js
- REST & HTTP
- Git/GitHub
- Good understanding of OOP principles
- Very good skills in English
- Single Page Applications architecture is considered as a plus
- HTML5 & CSS is considered as a plus
- Automation testing is considered as a plus
