SAP Business Technology Platform provides comprehensive application development tools, frameworks and services to help you extend, integrate and build innovative cloud applications in less time.

We build some of the key services of the Platform:
 

• Unified Connectivity services to securely connect on-premise systems to the cloud, with fine-grain access control and flexible single sign-on
• Unified Customer Landscape services that allow customers to control their entire IT landscape from one place – discover, connect and manage systems & runtimes, explore and consume APIs & events
• Unified Metadata Service for storing and discovering interconnected metadata, enabling collaboration between providers and consumers of metadata
• And a few more

As an intern in one of our teams, you will

• participate in the design, development, testing and delivery of Platform features
• do research and prototyping in the domain of cloud computing
• both use and contribute code to open-source projects

The major technologies and skills you will learn and master in our teams are among

• Java, Go аnd JavaScript – depending on your background and interests
• Kubernetes – a cutting-edge open-source container-orchestration system for automating deployment, scaling and management of containerized applications
• Cloud-native technologies like Kyma, Istio service mesh, Prometheus, Dex
• Microservices architecture patterns
• Networks and network programming
• Linux
• Development tools like git, maven and Jenkins
• The world’s best agile programming and project management practices
• Collaborating and navigating in an international environment

If you are willing to challenge yourself, learn quickly and code passionately – you are the colleague we are looking for! And that’s basically our only hard requirement, all the rest you will achieve at your own pace with the support of your personal mentor and our team.

 
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Student in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Informatics or equivalent
• Knowledge of any programming language: preferably Java, JavaScript or Go, but C++, C# or Python are also great
• Basic knowledge of OOP, data structures and algorithms
• Working level of English

Any of these is a definite advantage:

• Web development: HTML5/CSS/JavaScript, JavaScript frameworks
• Linux
• Databases
• Network programming

WORK EXPERIENCE

Prior work experience is not required. Students are welcome.
