Meet your team 

Our mission is to provide enablement and guidance for all SAP IT development teams around the globe, enabling them to build modern cloud applications on SAP’s PaaS offering: SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).

This includes the governance and operations of all SAP BTP environments as well as central tools, strategic services, and applications.
 

The position can be filled as part time position. 

Summary of the role:
We are looking for an experienced DevSecOps Engineer that will help us expanding the backbone CI / CD service for internal cloud applications used by over 100,000 SAP employees across the globe. These applications run on a variety of runtime environments on SAP’s PaaS offering, SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), and support all lines of business in the company.
 

The internal CI / CD offering is used by more than 800 cloud applications and follows a highly opinionated approach taking away most of the effort for application development teams.

Our solution leverages a tech stack based on GitHub, Tekton, Kubernetes and custom Operators running on a Gardener based infrastructure.

We’re looking for a candidate that can extend our existing system, improve its resilience and stability, and educate users how to get the most out of it.

 
The Role:
As a Senior in our team you will build, extend, and maintain complex systems which are both, based on and interact with SAP BTP.
The solution is the CI / CD solution for internal cloud applications used across SAP, therefore you will also interact with a variety of internal stakeholders in addition to your development work.
 
What you bring

• For the next cutting-edge project in our team, we are looking for a candidate that is strong with cloud deliveries and at least one hyperscaler, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• You bring in experience in at least one programming language, such as Java, JavaScript / Typescript (i.e. Node.js).
• You have used one or multiple tools from a modern tech stack such as ArgoCD, Tekton, or GitHub.
• You should have experience with CI / CD infrastructure and how to handle and maintain it.
• We work in a DevOps model; therefore, it is key that you know the concepts around DevOps and how to keep a complex technical system running.
• In addition, you should have experience with Kubernetes and the development of Operators.
• Experience with the development of Cloud APIs is a plus.
