The development center of SAP in Bulgaria plays a key role in the defining and developing of the SAP Business Technology Platform. Summary:

The SAP HANA Database Core Persistence team is looking for a Senior Software Developer (f/m/d) to work on the codebase of our HANA database. If you are passionate about database core technologies in modern cloud environments and writing programming code in Rust or C/C++, then we have the perfect opportunity for you.

The Role:

As a Senior Rust or C/C++ Developer, you will work on a cloud native persistence service for the HANA database in collaboration with engineers in different geographic locations. In order to develop a high performance, distributed and scalable service you will use cloud methodologies like CI/CD, Git and GitHub. Basic knowledge in Kubernetes and Database Management systems internals will allow you to integrate your implementations into the HANA Cloud operations framework and to write functional regression tests. We are looking for candidates who are committed to a technology career path.

Required skills:

• Strong programming skills in Rust or C/C++

• Experience with analyzing complex problems and implementing performance-critical algorithms

• Ability to assure code quality and write unit tests

• Fluent English language skills are mandatory, additional languages (German) are advantageous

• 2-5 years of practical experience in the programming with Rust or C/C++
