What you`ll do 
Our team ensures the observability of the ABAP Cloud Platform. As a member of an agile development team, you will take part in designing and implementing concepts for monitoring, logging, and tracing. This includes instrumenting ABAP application frameworks and business applications, and to provide observability/telemetry data internally and to the customer.

Further topics covered by our team are to provide modern UIs and dashboards for development operations (Grafana) and customers (SAP Fiori), and to leverage AI for intelligent operations. Our close collaboration with partners, stakeholders, and customers creates a technically challenging and diverse work environment with international contacts.

Having an excellent master's degree in computer science or natural sciences lays a strong foundation for a successful career with us. Knowledge in one or more of the following areas is beneficial:

• ABAP RESTful Programming Model / ABAP Cloud
• ABAP development and knowledge about the ABAP application server
• SAP Fiori/SAP UI5 development
• Observability/Monitoring in a cloud-native environment (OpenTelemetry)
• Kubernetes and cloud deployment

Fluency in English and German is expected.

The ABAP Cloud Platform serves as the foundation for S/4HANA, which is the core of SAP's Cloud ERP. SAP BTP ABAP Environment is SAP's Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offering for ABAP Cloud development. It enables developers to leverage their existing on-premises ABAP knowledge to create and run ABAP Cloud applications on the SAP Business Technology Platform. This environment is built on cutting-edge cloud technologies, including Kubernetes.
