What you`ll do

Summary
Our highly motivated team is responsible for building and providing deployable packages for SAP’s ABAP Cloud Products to the Operations teams with high reliability and quality.
In this unique position at SAP, we own both the process and the tools while constantly improving them. Training-on-the-job with a mentor, some basic trainings and having early responsibility are the nature of our education concept.

The Role
As a member of the ABAP Cloud Assembly team, you’re responsible for handling the build process and related pipelines for SAP’s ABAP Cloud Products. This process starts with the handover from development and ends with successfully built and tested deployable software packages. However, you will be involved in the development lifecycle from planning until providing it to our operations team. After gaining some experience, you’ll be involved into process improvement projects to cover new requirements as well as team internal ideas for optimization. This can also include development tasks for our own tools, e.g. in scripts and/or ABAP.
Work is done closely together with development, quality management, release management, and central infrastructure teams, gaining a strong network within the organization. With a wide opportunity to collaborate worldwide, your daily business is kept exciting.
With your tasks as a Release Engineer, your technical affinity and interest will get satisfied by handling topics in a technical environment.

What you bring

You are enthusiastic about analyzing and solving complex technical topics independently, as well as together with colleagues. You are curious and willing to keep expanding your knowledge. 

Ideally you have some basic knowledge in one of the areas LINUX, or relational database management systems including SQL.

Further requirements are: 

• Degree in computer science, engineering, natural science, or related subject
• Methodical and independent working mode
• Service attitude with a strong customer orientation
• High sense of responsibility and reliability
• Very good communication skills in German and English
• Graduates are welcome!

We are one of the key enablers for applying Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery for ABAP Cloud development.
